Aim:

This one year course provides students with skills and professional qualifications to pursue a career in the emergency services.

Entry Requirements:

Applications are invited from those who have completed the Leaving Certificate (traditional) or LCA. Mature students are also welcome to apply. All applicants will be interviewed.

Progression and Career Options:

This course qualifies students to apply for careers in the public service for fire and ambulance personnel. There are also employment opportunities with private ambulance and event support companies. The qualifications gained on completion of this course are internationally recognised. Students can also work as Healthcare Assistants. Students will also be offered the opportunity to complete training as an Emergency First Responder (EFR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and complete a Fire Training Week.
