Aim:

The aim of this course is to offer students a unique opportunity to develop the essential skills to design and manufacture a range of fine handcrafted furniture. These skills will enable students to pursue a career in furniture manufacturing/woodworking industries, or in the areas of furniture design, product design or architectural technology.

 

 Progression and Career Options:

Graduates from this course will have acquired a nationally recognised qualification which will enable them to compete for employment or an apprenticeship in the carpentry, joinery and cabinet making industries. Graduates may also apply to a range of degree courses in Institutes of Technology such as DKIT, DIT and GMIT (Letterfrack).
