Aims
This one year course provides training for those wishing to work alongside caring professionals. It equips the carer with practical knowledge, skills and attitudes to work as members of a health care team.

Entry Requirements
Applications are invited from those who have completed Leaving Certificate. Mature students and recent school leavers are also welcome to apply. All applicants will be interviewed.

Career Prospects
Students have the opportunity to find employment in a care setting either in the home, in day care centres, or in hospitals/nursing homes. Graduates can also progress to Higher Education Courses in the Institutes of Technology and some universities.
