	Childcare Apply Online Aims This is a one year full-time Course designed to provide students with the knowledge and qualifications required to pursue a career in Childcare. It is suitable for both school leavers and experienced/mature people seeking a formal qualification. Entry Requirements Applications are accepted from those who have completed Leaving Certificate and also from mature students. All applicants will be interviewed. Applicants must be at least 17 years of age. Career Prospects Students can undertake further study or go directly into the work of work in nurseries, playgroups, crèches, with private families, and as assistants in schools and residential homes. The FETAC level 5 Certificate is also recognised for applying to courses in the Institutes of Education and other Higher Education Colleges.
