Advanced Certificate in Sport Development Apply Online

Aims
This is the second year of a two year course designed to prepare students for a career in the leisure industry, sports coaching, or to provide a pathway to further study.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must have successfully completed FETAC Level 5 Sport & Recreation. There are course charges particularly in relation to the non-FETAC elements of the course.

Career Prospects
Graduates may qualify for entry to specified third level courses through the FETAC route. Graduates may be accepted for entry to Year 2 in specified Institute of Technology Degree Programs. Students may become recognised Exercise & Fitness Instructors through NCEF validation. They will also be able to pursue opportunities in Sports Coaching.

Course Validation
FETAC Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Sports Development. Assessment is based on course work and examinations. Referee and Coaching Awards are validated by the Governing Bodies. The Instructor Award can be obtained by completing the National Certificate in Exercise and Fitness which is accredited by the University of Limerick.
