Aims
This is the second year of a two year course leading to a FETAC level 6 Certificate in Multimedia Production. This program further develops the skills acquired at FETAC Level 5 and aims to furnish graduates with the expertise to attain direct employment or progression to a degree level learning program.Emphasis is placed on using digital media for design purposes. Students will further develop their skills in the area of: Digital Video Production, Graphic Design and Manipulation, Illustration, Digital Animation, Authoring for Interactive Media, Programming and Dynamic Web Authoring.
Entry Requirements:
FETAC level 5 Certificate in Multimedia Production or equivalent. All applicants will be selected by interview.Career Prospects:
Graduates will have the necessary skills to take up employment in various Multimedia related industries. Current employment opportunities lie in the areas of Web Design, Graphic Design, Advertising, Animation, Digital Imaging, Sound and Video Editing and Post-Production.Students may be accepted for entry to year 2 in specified Institutes of Technology Degree programs.
